Since 2019 I am part of a Mediterranean Microplastic Citizen Science Project, which aims to collect microplastic data in shore sediments across the Mediterranean region. I earned valuable experience in project management, grant proposal writing as well as networking, communicating, and collaborating with different institutes all around Europe. This also allowed me to get in touch with several scientists from Germany (GEOMAR, IPN, IOW), Croatia (University of Pula), Albania (University of Tirana), Greece (Hellenic Centre for Marine Research), Egypt (Alexandria University) and France (STARESO).
