During my study period, I have been working constantly at a Marine Biology Station in Pula (Meeresschule Pula), Croatia, where I gained valuable insight into marine biology, environmental education and scientific practices. 

Even though, in the last years, I mainly worked in the environmental education sector, my ambition to stay in science was one reason for me never to turn my back on working at the university. I am, therefore, very proud working as a lecturer in marine biology for teaching students at the University of Graz (Fachdidaktische Vertiefung - Mensch & Meer, Aktuelle Themen für den Biologieunterricht: Umweltbildung).
